Hello! My name is Stephanie Bernardini, and I am a designer, programmer, drafter, and boba connoisseur!
Professionally, I am a laser designer and programmer with Strictly FX and have programmed lasers nationwide and internationally for artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Lauv, Marshmello, Svdden Death, and more.
With my co-scenic design for the Old Man and the Old Moon, I am making my professional regional theatre debut at South Coast Repertory.
I recently graded from the University of California, Irvine, where I received a B.A. in Drama with an emphasis in Design with honors in Lighting Design, honors in Scenic Design, Cum Laude, and Phi Beta Kappa Honors. Before this I also studied at Citrus College where I received an associate degree in Theatre Design and Technology in the Emerging Theatre Technologies Program.
At UC Irvine, I scenically designed Airness, lighting designed Physical Graffiti 2023 a dance concert, was the lighting design assistant for The Seagull and Into the Woods, and the scenic design assistant for Romeo & Juliet. I also had the opportunity to lighting design Julie, a director class project. Alongside my undergraduate required courses, I have also been a part of several graduate level courses where I learned several hard skills such as drafting, graphics, photoshop, model building, 3D printing & modeling, and so much more. I have also been a part of the graduate theme parks production class where I aided in concept development and was a lighting design team member for a theoretical theme park named Glitched. In these classes I have developed industry standard skills and have learned how to organize my work and effectively communicate my ideas with my peers.
My unique combination of scenic and lighting design skills have all simultaneously contributed to my success at Strictly FX.
